Muscadet 1989 : un millésime d’exception
Nouvelle dégustation Salivertivin au Chateau de la Frémoire, pour une dégustation horizontale de 89….Contrairement aux idées reçues, les muscadets sont taillés pour la garde et même la grande garde (pas ceux vendus en négoce et que l’on retrouve à moins de 3 € dans les étals des supermarchés bien sur)…….. Bref on peut dire qu’au moins une trentaine de producteurs au moins font des muscadets de garde ….. Je vous renvoie d’ailleurs sur le lien suivant à un classement qui pour moi est celui de référence ….ici et cela est Particulièrement vrai sur les millésimes solaires , qui permettent d’avoir un bon état sanitaire des vignes et une bonne maturité….Les millésimes d’anthologie sont donc 76, 89, et 2005 (pas le recul suffisant sur 2009 encore mais il devrait y figurer) et les très bons millésimes 82, 90, 96 et 2003…. D’autant que les techniques de vinification ont évolué amenant les muscadet vers plus de richesse et d’onctuosité tout en gardant la tension caractéristique qui fait tout leur charme….Enfin ce qui est remarquable c’est que ces bouteilles lorsqu’elles sont encore en vente sont vendues entre 8 et 15 €…De grands blancs de plus de 20 ans ….Quel autre vignoble Français peut proposer de tels rapports qualité/prix sur de vieux millésimes ?

1er vin : Muscadet la Frémoire 1989
Ce vin avait été “frappé” aux couleurs du chateau de la Frémoire , pour célébrer l’entrée du syndicat des muscadets dans ce batiment en 1989 …Pas conçu pour la garde normalement …Nez assez expressif et complexe sur les agrumes séchés (orange et pamplemousse) , citron confit et cire d”abeille ….A l’aération, des notes subtiles de fleurs blanches se libèrent : fleurs blanches, jasmin et chèvrefeuille…..En bouche , l’attaque est nette , ca se tient encore bien, armes marqués de pomme mûre , mais la tension est un peu “lâche”, amertume agréable en finale , longueur correcte ….Jolie entrée en matière - Ma note 13.5/20

Vin n°2 : Domaine de la Bourdinière 1989 (terroir de granit jaune)
Premier nez sur les arômes d’agrumes séchés et de coing, puis évoluant sur les fruits blancs (pêche, pomme) , le chocolat blanc et l’anis ….En bouche attaque franche sur la pomme mure puis milieu et fin de bouche sur une trame plus acide (mais pas désagréable du tout) sur le citron jaune , très tapissant mais pas très long …. Bien + Note 14/20

Vin n°3 Domaine de l’échasserie 1989
Nez très différent, sur les herbes séchées , la crème au citron (avec ce petit mélange sucrosité/acidité) , lait brulé au fond de la casserole, pain grillé , anis , menthe …Attaque très ample , bouche onctueuse, presque grasse, avec beaucoup de salinité (on entendrait les mouettes) , finales sur de beaux amers ….Seul petit “hic” un léger manque de tension …. Mais à plus de 20 ans, on ne peut qu’applaudir . Ma note : très bien . 16/20

Vin n°4 Domaine de la Tourlandière 1989

Autant l’étiquette avec son paysage peint par le cousin est kitch (à mon gout , et en art plus qu’ailleurs tout est relatif ) , autant le vin est très bon …
Le nez est sur l’ananas (+++) , des notes lactées, cirées, fumées et après aération sur le poivre blanc … Attaque franche, acidulée (sur l’ananas à nouveau ) bouche très compacte, dense , grande fraicheur….Rolland Petiteau a fait un très bon boulot , et il parait encore très jeune son 89 !
Ma note : Très bien + / 16.5/20

Vin n°5 Domaine des chausselières 1989
La par contre , je dirais que le ramage est en rapport avec le plumage…Nez plus simple légèrement oxydatif (noix) , fumé , avec des notes de cire et de réglisse ….En bouche l’attaque est un peu chaude , moins de tension que ceux bus jusque la , milieu de bouche avec des notes éther/alcool à bruler ….Ma fiche dit “bof” …. Ma note : moyen - 11/20

Vin n°6 Michel Luneau et fils 1989 . Nez expressif et complexe sur des notes d’hydrocarbure, et des notes plus tertaires de champignons , sous bois, sauge , mais aussi après aération sur la pomme très mure , la cire d’antiquaire, l’ananas cuit . Attaque en bouche sur la pomme , vin crémeux et onctueux tout en gardant une belle tension , mais un léger manque d’amplitude par rapport à d’autres –
Note : Bien+ / 14/20 – Millésime disponible au domaine (en magnum )

Vin n°7 Domaine des hauts mortiers, cuvée des Rochettes , Denis Charbonneau 1989
Jocelyn arrive hagard à notre table, les yeux exhorbités, limite injectés de sang et nous dit “Prenez le temps de déguster, car ça, c’est de la bombasse” … Lui qui est d’habitude dans la mesure et la subtilité ça a de quoi surprendre! Pas tant que ça en fait , car avant même qu’il arrive , mes neurones (enfin ceux qui restent) et mon sonar “grand vin” s’étaient réveillés …Pourquoi ? Un nez d’une grande élégance , sur l’ananas , les fleurs blanches , l’ananas , la pêche de vigne et après aération sur un marché aux épices (curry+++), poivre noir, anis piment rouge) . En bouche l’attaque est nette, tendue, suivie par un toucher de bouche subtil et dense à la fois , avec beaucoup de fraicheur , longue finale avec des amers en rétro olfaction …. wouah ! Consensus de la table des dégustateurs, certains disent que cette bouteille ne dépareillerait pas dans une dégustation à l’aveugle de vieux Jasnières, deux à trois fois plus chers , c’est tout à fait çà ! j’ai noté “s’y rendre de toute urgence pour prendre du 2005 si 89 n’est plus disponible” …. Je n’ai plus de place dans ma cave , mais c’est décidé , j’irais demain car c’est un des meilleurs muscadet qu’il m’ai été donné de déguster … Prix : 8 € env – Ma note : 17.5/20 – Mon coup de coeur de la soirée

Vin n°8 Chateau du coing de saint Fiacre, cuvée comte de Saint Hilaire 1989 – Beau nez expressif et complexe sur l’ananas, le citron , miel , groseille à maquerau, pierre à fusil, craie, coquille , notes balsamiques ….L’attaque est (encore ) perlante, bouche très fraiche , avec une finale sur de beaux amers …C’est fin , mais c’est plus classique ……
Dans le guide Bettane et Desseauve, la Propriétaire , la Comtesse Gunther-Chereau explique qu’elle a débuté sur le millésime 89 “je me suis rendue compte au fil du temps , et pour le moment qu’aucun n’a pu le dépasser”

Domaine R De la grange (Rémy Luneau) 1989
Avec les Luneau dans le muscadet , on pourrait presque jouer au jeu des 7 familles… “Dans la famille Luneau , je voudrais Pierre ? Michel ? non Rémy ! j’ai “
Plus sérieusement, un très beau vin aussi , celui là (en fait mon deuxième) . Nez de noix, amande amère, baba au rhum, glace rhum-raisin, un coté vieux tonneau , zeste d’orange, encaustique, miel ….Attaque fraiche sur la pomme, on sent une grosse structure sur ce vin , il y a de la matière et de la densité , avec un léger coté oxydatif plutôt agréable …Le magnum vaut 30 € au domaine (c’est l’un des plus chers) , mais ce n’est pas volé eu égard à la qualité pour un vin de plus de 20 ans , s’apparentant , lui à un savenières ….Ma note : très bien +- 16/20

Vin n°10 , Domaine Pierre Luneau Papin, cuvée L d’or 1989

Premier nez beurré (+++), cendré, puis sur les fruits cuits, abricots sec et coing, prune et noyau ….En bouche attaque fraiche sur le coing et l’ananas , puis bouche onctueuse, crémeuse avec un petit coté patissier , mais un peu monolithique , et manquant de complexité . Ma note : Bien – 14/20

Bref, en un mot comme en cent, une grande dégustation de vins qui dans l’ensemble n’avaient pas pris une ride (les gabbro et les schistes seraient ils les botox du vin?) …De grands vins …Et si cette fois , j’ai mis certains arômes en couleur , c’est pour montrer toute la diversité de la palette de ces grands vins blancs : les MUSCADETS
